Our History

 Quotes Restaurant is a black-owned, Prairie View A&M University Alumni business. The concept of Quotes was birthed out of our desire to bring a fresh and new dining experience to the community. An experience that would fill your belly when you're hungry, relax your mind after a long day, and uplift your spirit by pleasantly immersing you in our "motivational and inspirational quotes theme" throughout the restaurant. Quotes had a soft opening to the public on April 9th, 2022 and held its grand opening on Juneteenth - June 19th, 2022. We celebrate Juneteenth as our anniversary every year. 

 Quotes Restaurant's mission is to inspire and uplift humanity by being the #1 vibe dining restaurant! What we mean by that is we want to create an environment where people can come in and truly unwind, relax and enjoy their own company or the company of their friends and family; while also eating delicious southern comfort food and listening or singing along to music that makes them feel good! We want people to come unapologetically and feel completely comfortable being themselves at Quotes. 

We operate based on the Money 3rd principle. God 1st, People 2nd, Money 3rd. We execute this on this principle using the The Go-Givers 5 Laws of Stratospheric Success found in the book - The Go-Giver written by Bob  Burg and John David Mann.

1) Value: Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment.
2) Compensation: Your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them.
3) Influence: Your influence is determined by how abundantly you place other people’s interests first.
4) Authenticity: The most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself.

5) Receptivity: The key to effective giving is to stay open to receiving.
